Family, friends, and members of the Temple community are mourning the tragic loss of 37-year-old Milan Maharjan, who died following a devastating single-vehicle crash and fire early Sunday morning.
According to the Temple Police Department, officers were dispatched at approximately 7:39 a.m. Sunday to the area of W Adams Avenue and NW HK Dodgen Loop after reports of a serious crash involving a vehicle that had struck a utility pole.
When officers arrived, they discovered the vehicle fully involved in fire after the impact. Emergency crews responded quickly and worked to secure the scene, but the driver was found deceased. Authorities confirmed that Milan Maharjan of Temple was pronounced dead at the scene by Justice of the Peace Rosanne Fisher.
No other injuries were reported in the crash.
