Trencent Francois Found Dead: Woman Charged with Manslaughter in 21-year-old’s Death in Winnipeg

Winnipeg police say a woman has been charged with manslaughter in the death of a 21-year-old on Saturday.

The Winnipeg Police Service says the victim has been identified as Trencent Francois, a member of the Nelson House First Nation who was living in Winnipeg.

Officers were responding to a serious incident at a home on Toronto Street Saturday around 3 p.m. They arrived to find Francois suffering from life-threatening injuries. He was taken to hospital in critical condition, where he died.

A woman was arrested at the scene.

Precious Rayne Walker, 20, was charged with manslaughter and has been detained in custody. The allegation against her has not been tested in court.

The homicide unit is continuing to investigate.
